I LOVE oatmeal especially oatmeal I can make ahead of time. Steel cut oats are my favorite. When you wake up in the morning your body is ready for food. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Studies show that if you skip out on breakfast you are essentially skipping out on essential nutrients your body needs. You can not make up for those nutrients lost. People who want to lose weight or maintain weight should never skip breakfast. It keeps you on track the rest of the day. Oatmeal is great to eat because it is made of insoluble and soluble plant fiber. It takes your body a long time to break these down so you remain full and satisfied longer. It also regulates blood sugar. So with this being said, I highly suggest you trying this recipe so you can make your breakfast ahead of time. That way you have NO excuses to skip out on breakfast:) You can reheat this by adding some water and microwaving or warming on stove. I will sometimes add walnuts to mine after I reheat it. Enjoy:) P.S. Don't you just love my little helper? She loves helping mommy in the kitchen:)
