Who loves it when you can fix a “sweet” treat for the family and know they are getting tons of nutrition in every bite? I know I do. I am very passionate about teaching my children about foods and energy. I want them to grow up knowing how they can fuel their mind/body with food and heal their mind/body. Of course I want them to also enjoy having treats in moderation but I love it when I find a hit healthy sweet treat. These are so easy to make and taste delicious. I use a protein powder made especially for kids. It is packed with pure proteins and superfoods. Leave me a comment if you are interested in trying it. I can send you a gift card. If you have your own protein powder feel free to use it. Make sure that you read the labels to make sure the ingredients are kid friendly.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls
1 cup oats
1 scoop of protein powder
1 cup of natural peanut butter
2 tablespoons of ground flax seed
1/2 cup of raw organic honey
Mix together and make tsp size balls. Place in freezer on plate to harden then in storage container. If you need more liquid you can also add some melted coconut oil to smooth out or extra honey. Some other ingredients you could add are cinnamon, dark chocolate chips, coconut flakes, sliced almonds, or even sprinkles. Lol. This should make 20 small balls. You can choose your size by using either a teaspoon or tablespoon.
Feel free to share and also comment below and let me know how you liked them. They have been a hit in our family and a go to snack.
