“And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.”
Philippians 1:9-11 NIV
As I sit here and listen to praise music and meditate on Philipians 1:9-11, I am seeing God showing me that life is good. It is so easy to worship the wrong things in life instead of giving them to God and worshipping Him. Have you ever felt like you have wanted something so bad that you actually let it take over your life? It becomes all you think about and can start to effect your being. It can turn your positive thoughts into negative thoughts. I know for me when I start to see that happen I have to take a step back and make sure that I am putting God first in my life. For the most part I feel like I am a pretty positive person so when negativity creeps in I know something is changing in me. I am so thankful that God allows me to see this in my life. It throws up the red flags and I know I need to stop and pray and dig in His word. I also find counsel in my dear friend that is a woman of God. These things are so important in order for me to fight off what the devil is trying to do in my life. He does not want us to succeed and he does not want us to be on a God high. The next time that you feel like your starting to feel negativity creep in or starting to feel blue then take a step back and revaluate what you are doing day in and day out. These are not feelings of God. He wants us to have His joy. We are so blessed that we have a Heavenly Father who will point us in the right direction when we get off His path. Grab your Bible, grab your worship music, grab your coffee and get cozy. Only He can turn that frown into a lasting smile.
