Having a child has seriously made my life one million times busier. I use to spend my Saturday’s on the couch with my husband watching football ALL day. Even though life has become busier, I would not trade a single second of my life now for my life before. She is our blessing from God. She gives me the drive to want to be a better person. I use to wake up early before I had her and read my devotion and workout but now it means so much more to me to get this done before she wakes up. I want to be able to give her all my love and attention when she is awake. I am a better mom because of my time that I spend on myself. It is so easy to use being a mom as an excuse to not take care of oneself. For me, I have more eagerness to take care of myself because I want her to see how important it is to live a healthy life and to make the choice to exercise and eat healthy. It does not mean that you cannot have ice cream or pizza every now and then. Everything in moderation is key to staying on track. How many of you have the desire to exercise and have time for “you”? Then do itJ Wake up 30 minutes early or stay up later. The dishes can wait. The laundry can wait. Schedule time for yourself so you can exercise and have some mommy time. Your children will thank you because you will be a happier and healthier mom. Trust me on this. Take two weeks and commit to waking up earlier. Commit to working out and reading a devotion. Journal and write your feelings down. I promise you that you will see a difference after the two weeks and you will not want to stop. Start tomorrow morning and let’s do this for ourselves and for our families.
